The principals of the company have been involved in real time video transmission for aerial refueling, spacecraft, and security from 1992 to present day. Current projects unreleased for public access are utilizing cameras in the robotics realm.
Camera Fix
- After 6 months of frustrations with the camera manufacturer, our client hired us to solve a noise problem with a mobile camera installation.
- The problem was unique due to the mobile nature of the camera and the large swings in lighting conditions.
- With hundreds of cameras already installed there was little choice but to fix the issue.
- Within 2 weeks, we stabilized the video image using firmware to adjust a complex combination of gain control, day-night mode IR switching, shutter, iris and dynamic range to meet the dynamic lighting conditions.
- After demonstration on an actual vehicle, our client was able to install the solution by upgrading the firmware on the customers fleet and collected in excess of $5 Million in payments that were held due to this problem.
- Below is the comparison between the two camera configurations. Both videos were taken on the same street, same atmospheric conditions with the same lighting. The upper clip is original camera firmware and the lower clip is the new firmware based on our re-characterization.
